Yesterday Kenny and I decided to ride up a mountain. We took GMR. It leads all the way to Mount Baldy. We started way too late AGAIN and we only made it to the top of the mountain before it was getting dark. Next week we will ride to Baldy. There were a couple areas we passed with ice on the side of the road, kind of strange. The road was better kept than most streets in Santa Ana, no potholes or cracks. Only 2 cars passed us on the way up. I love empty back roads. Ready to go. Up that way? Nice riding shoes. Leave time? Oops. We almost rode from the wrong spot. At green, but we needed to be at red. Kenny broke his bike again. Ok. Really! We are leaving this time. Last stop before a mountain. Some views. We forgot the water bottles and almost had to turn around. Look what we found on the side of the road, still good and probably only thrown out this morning. DINNER! AMAZING views! Only YOU can prevent forest fires. We got to the top late, so we had to turn right back around and get down the mountain before it got dark. We were getting on our bikes to head down and we saw a guy that looked like this. Just skateboarding down a mountain. Finish time! Just in time for darkness.
